We have 33 millions Gods.
In the suburbs of Kathmandu, Pashupatinath is a must-see for tourists and devout Hindus. This temple (only open to Hindus) is a famous place of worship and many Nepalese and Indians travel there to pray.
A young guide shows us around the site:
ME – How many Gods are there in your religion?
GUIDE – We have 33 millions Gods.
ME – 33 millions?! That’s a lot!
GUIDE – Yes, it’s much more than the population of Nepal. We even have a God for chickenpox. Mothers pray Him to protect their children. His name is Ajima.
Just for that, sometimes it’s nice to get a guide for a visit!
